Commissioning Dan

Please send a brief of your requirements, live theatre, movie, advertisement etc., your deadline, a brief synopsis of the story or event and I will get back to you within 3 days... and we'll take it from there!

To save time: (Film)

  1. Ideally, it is useful to give any film composer a copy of the film (of the final cut, if at all possible) in Quick Time format preferably with time code. It is useful to bear this in mind when preparing copies.
  2. If you have cut the film to a temp track make sure that:
    • The music is absent from the composers copy of the film.
    • You are able to make the temp music available for the composer for reference in your dialogue with him.

To save time: (Theatrical Performance)

  1. Any dates that are crucial to the production can be useful to the composer. (June 1st we work on dance scene X.)
  2. A list of production meetings that the composer is required to attend can be very useful.
  3. Any visual/aural/cultural or other media that may help create a useful director/composer dialogue.

Let's get your production finished and polished!
